Route is a third-party shipping protection service that covers your order against loss, theft, or damage in transit. When you add Route protection at checkout, you are covered by Route’s claim resolution process—not directly by Coffee&Peppers. Route operates independently and handles all claims through their platform at claims.route.com.
Yes. Route Shipping Protection is an optional add-on available at checkout. You may uncheck it before placing your order. However, please note that if you opt out, Coffee&Peppers is not responsible for packages that are lost, stolen, or damaged after they leave our facility. Once your order ships, it is in the carrier’s hands.
Route Shipping Protection covers the following scenarios:
- Lost packages – orders marked as delivered but not received, or stuck in transit
- Stolen packages – orders confirmed delivered but missing (commonly called porch theft)
- Damaged packages – items that arrive broken or unusable due to transit damage
Coverage is subject to Route’s terms and claim review process. Coverage does not apply to packages lost due to incorrect shipping addresses provided at checkout.
